King of the East Track Meet
Congratulations to our Boys team for their 1st Place finish and our Girls team on their 2nd Place finish in the King of the East Track Meet!
Girls Basketball
OHS had a great time last week celebrating our Girls Basketball team and Basketball Cheer in recognition of their historic season!
Major League Baseball
Oxford alum Jackson Stephens made his Major League Baseball season debut with the Atlanta Braves this past week. He earned the save in the Braves win over the Nationals.
USFL
Oxford alum Trey Elston made his USFL season debut this past weekend with the New Jersey Generals.
Honor Roll of Academic Integrity and National Honor Society
With the move to year long grading, OHS will determine the Honor Roll of Academic Integrity and National Honor Society students at the end of each school year and have the assembly to recognize them at the beginning of the following school year.
1st Annual Children and Youth Mental Health Awareness
The School Social Workers and Mental Health Services Coordinators from Oxford City Schools, Jacksonville City Schools, Calhoun County Schools, and Anniston City Schools are pleased to announce the 1st Annual Children and Youth Mental Health Awareness event. The goal is to raise awareness of mental health and the issues that the students are facing in today's society, as well as, provide families an opportunity to explore community resources which support children, youth, and parents.
The event, EmbRACE What Matters: #Mental Health Matters, will be held on May 14th on McClellen from 8:00-12:00. We will host a 5k run, along with food vendors and community outreach partners. We will have fun for the whole family with bouncy houses, games, and door prizes. Also Cocky from JSU will be there!!
